Sun Microsystems has an evolving market presence in the primary/secondary school market.
In working with Sun, the goal was articulating web-based solutions in K-12. A series of collateral pieces were created to address the K-12 marketplace, informing the marketplace on programs, products and solutions. Additional collateral was developed to provide customer and partner references as well as information on infrastructure and architecture. The selection and management of potential reference sites, and participation in key trade associations and conferences created additional market positioning.

The Sun Microsystems Foundation has offered programs and resources for philanthropic use since 1990. Over the course of a year, a set of downloadable guides and online tutorials were developed. Utilizing the StarOffice Office Suite, users develop basic skills in the use of the Internet, word processing, drawing, spreadsheets & a presentation program.

Educators, former Sun Microsystems grant recipients, and external resources created various aspects of this project. To facilitate organizational partnerships and international use, a limited quantity of CDs were pressed containing all of the resources.
